Clemson will investigate whether a man working for a Los Angeles agent gave two of its former football players money in the summer of 1989 while they were still in school. Tailback Terry Allen and defensive back James Lott denied receiving money from Jerry Schwartz, who said he acted as financial manager for players recruited by agent Harold (Doc) Davis.
