Imaginarium: Starting with the big door for adults and the little door for children, this toy/game/book store will make you smile, especially on Sunday when it is crawling with exploring tots.
Victoria’s Secret: A must for lingerie lovers. The chain’s second-largest store in the United States.
The Nature Store: A must for nature lovers and environmentalists. Ask to hear “Distant Thunder,†a $9.95 tape with nothing but the soothing sounds of a rainstorm.
Arva: Family-style jewelers. Faithful customers swear prices, service and custom-made pieces can’t be beat.
Brentano’s: On the doorstep of the AMC movie complex. Indoor benches for browsers and a good greeting card selection. Open Friday and Saturday nights until 11.
The Yogurt Place: Bargain prices ($1.50 for 5 ounces) and unusual nonfat flavors, such as peanut-butter-and-jelly, apple pie or chocolate Ghirardelli.
Stir Crazy: Sanctioned by the American Heart Assn. A spa-trained chef turns out diet-right complete meals for as little as $5.
Gelson’s: Clean, classy--and pricey--supermarket.
