Fallbrook 16, San Dieguito 4--Nine of Fallbrook’s 16 runs came off homers, including Matt Dunlap’s three-run shot in the second. Fallbrook is now 12-8, 7-5.
Torrey Pines 4, Mt. Carmel 3--Left-hander Anthony Napoli had the winning RBI in the eighth for the Falcons (10-12, 7-5). Mt. Carmel is 14-9-2, 7-5.
Rancho Buena Vista 10, Orange Glen 3--Junior Jim Hill went the distance and struck out nine for RBV (9-13, 3-9).
Avocado League
San Marcos 9, El Camino 5--San Marcos clinched the league title. Junior Denny McAdams (2-0) struck out 11 in 5 1/3 innings for San Marcos (18-3, 12-0). El Camino is 3-9, 5-14-1.
San Pasqual 10, Escondido 5--Dave Riffel was three for five and drove in three runs for San Pasqual (9-11, 6-3).
Oceanside 6, Rancho Bernardo 5--Brian Hull’s single that ricocheted off pitchers mound sent in Mel Douglas and Alex Cade with the tying and winning runs for the Pirates (9-13, 6-6). Rancho Bernardo is 7-16, 4-8.
Grossmont 3-A League
Granite Hills 5, Mt. Miguel 1--Winning pitcher Ryan O’Coyne struck out eight, allowed just three hits and delivered a three-run double as the Eagles (12-9-1, 5-1) broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh.
Helix 10, Monte Vista 7--Terry Carter hit two doubles and had three RBIs for Helix (14-8, 5-1), which remains in a first-place tie with Granite Hills. Monte Vista fell to 9-12, 2-5.
Grossmont 2-A League
Grossmont 8, West Hills 4--Mike Spears’ solo homer and Todd Cady’s two-run double keyed a five-run fourth inning for the Foothillers, who improved to 22-1, 6-0. West Hills is 5-13-1, 1-5.
Santana 4, Valhalla 1--Mike Romo and Robert Ervin had two hits apiece, and Ervin drove in three runs for the Sultans (15-5-1, 4-2). Valhalla is 14-9, 3-4.
Coastal League
La Jolla Country Day 12, Army-Navy 1--Eric Abrams went three for four with two RBIs and teammate Eugene Park got a hit and drove in two runs. LJCD improved to 6-8, 4-5.
