I would like to applaud Social Security Administration officials and encourage them to take direct control of the California program for disability payments (“U.S. May Seize California State Disability Office,” Part A, May 3).
I have been waiting since January for processing of my disability claim. I have been told that I should not expect to hear before July. This is far in excess of the 105-day “average” to process a claim. When I asked how I was to pay my bills, I was told to apply for welfare. Such warmth and understanding. I felt so much better!
