Police continued their search Monday for a 18-year-old suspected of opening fire over the weekend at a group of men, killing one and wounding another.
Police are looking for Noe Barrelas, 18, who lived in the same neighborhood and was identified during the shooting by several witnesses, said Police Lt. Ed McErlain.
Barrelas is suspected of firing into a carport in the 17000 block of Koledo Lane about 10:30 p.m., where a group of men were relaxing after a pickup basketball game at Oak View School.
Killed was Antonio Perez, 46. McErlain said that Nicholas Gomez Martinez, 31, was wounded in the attack.
Witnesses said that Barrelas approached the group carrying a handgun and fired “numerous times,” McErlain said.
Police did not disclose a motive for the shooting.
