Gang Violence and Gun Control
I don’t know which is more disheartening--reading (Metro, April 30) about how in broad daylight 12-year-old Cindy Rodriguez was hit by a stray gang bullet and paralyzed for life, or thinking about the fact that this is such a common occurrence that hardly a peep of protest will be heard from anyone.
There must be more of a concerted effort to get this problem under control now. The fact that gang violence doesn’t affect those of us who don’t live in gang-infested areas is no excuse to sit back and watch the carnage. Enough is enough.
