Santa Ana Shortstop Commits to UCLA
Mike Estrada, a shortstop at Santa Ana High School, made an oral commitment to attend UCLA in the fall, his father, Mike Estrada Sr., said Thursday.
Estrada, who transferred to Santa Ana from Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., last year, also visited Chapman College. He was recruited by the Bruins, according to UCLA Coach Gary Adams, but will begin as a walk-on.
