The International Lions District 4-L1 will hold its second annual Lions Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Monday at the Valencia Country Club. The entry fee is $150 per person in the four-person scramble, which includes greens fee, cart and a buffet dinner. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. and will benefit the Lions Eyemobile, a traveling optometry lab, and Youth Exchange programs. The country club is located at 27330 Tourney Road, Valencia. The West Valley Church of Religious Science will sponsor classes titled “Parent Effectiveness Training†and “Everyone Wins--Parents and Children.†The classes will be Thursday evenings, May 9 through July 11 at A Center For Hope and Faith, 7246 Remmet Ave., Suite 207, Canoga Park. The 17th annual Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be held May 20 at the Woodland Hills Country Club. Check-in time is 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. The first to score a hole in one will win a 1991 Lincoln Mercury Town Car. The entry fee is $125. It includes greens fee, cart, dinner, gifts and a raffle ticket. The tournament banquet will follow the tournament, with cocktails at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets for the banquet are $45.
