Dead Ahead: The Grateful Dead is returning to Southern California for a concert June 1 at the Los Angeles Coliseum. It’s the group’s first area appearance since controversial shows last May at Cal State Dominguez Hills and December, 1989, at the Forum. Each of those events was marred by a death involving fans. Tickets for the Coliseum show go on sale 9 a.m. Monday at all Music Plus Ticketmaster locations only. Priority numbered wrist bands will be handed out at 8 a.m. and no lineups will be allowed before 7 a.m.
