The Notre Dame High School Ladies Tennis Tournament and Luncheon will be held May 1. The tennis tournament for women will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Racquet Centre, 10933 Ventura Blvd., North Hollywood. The San Fernando Valley Employer Advisory Group, in conjunction with the Employment Development Department, will sponsor a Spring Seminar at the Sheraton Universal Hotel, 335 Universal Terrace Parkway, Universal City. The seminar will be held May 8, beginning at 8 a.m. The program is designed for employers who want to know more about perfecting employer-employee relations in the 1990s and to keep them informed of new employment trends and labor laws affecting employee rights, responsibilities and benefits. The combined football booster clubs of Burbank and John Burroughs High schools will hold two major fund-raisers to support the high school football programs. On April 26, at De Bell Municipal Golf Course, 1500 Walnut Ave., Burbank, will be the second annual Red Dog Open Golf Tournament. On May 4, at Memorial Field, on the campus of John Burroughs High School, 1920 Clark Ave., Burbank, will be the fourth annual Alumni Football Game, with kickoff at 5 p.m. The game will be preceded by a performance by the All Alumni Band and Drill Team. The post party will be held at the Luau Grounds at the Castaways Restaurant in Burbank. Player registration is $50, which will include the cost of equipment and miscellaneous expenses.
