Officer Helps Save Boy Who Fell Into Pool
A police officer helped save the life of a 2-year-old North Hollywood boy who had stopped breathing after falling into a swimming pool Saturday, authorities said.
Adeel Kahn was in critical condition at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, officials said.
The boy fell into the pool at his parents’ apartment in the 6200 block of Lankershim Boulevard about 5 p.m. and his father pulled him out, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Christopher Vasquez said.
Officer Vincent Bancroft, 35, responding to the parents’ 911 call, administered mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, then paramedics restored the child’s breathing.
