Kentaro Arai has been appointed chairman of Calsonic International Inc., the Irvine-based holding company for Calsonic Corp.’s U.S. operations. Arai, who had been president and chief executive, continues as managing director of the Tokyo parent company. Succeeding him as president and CEO is Tadashi Ohdate, who was formerly executive vice president.
Masahiro Morita has been named executive vice president. He served as general manager of the corporate planning office of Calsonic Corp. since 1989, after 27 years with Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. In addition, Raymond E. Kriese Jr. was promoted from director of human resources to vice president.
