Bryan to Play for 5th Place in Junior Tennis Tournament

Mike Bryan, 12, of Camarillo, will be playing for fifth place today in the Easter Bowl tennis tournament at Doral Country Club in Miami.
Competing against the nation’s top 14-and-under boys, Bryan defeated seventh-seed Steve Weinstein of North Miami Beach, Fla., 6-1, 6-1, and unseeded Pablo Ballagamo of Dumont, N.J., 6-1, 6-2, on Thursday.
Bryan, seeded eighth, will play third-seeded Ryan Wolters of San Jose today at 10 a.m. PST. Bryan has a 1-1 record against Wolters in the past two years.
Mike’s twin, Bob, was eliminated from the tournament after losing to Jan-Michael Gambil of Spokane, Wash., 7-6, 6-4, on Wednesday.
