Three men were arrested Thursday at Channel Islands High School in Oxnard after a fight during which one was hit in the head with a crowbar.
None of the Oxnard men were students, police said.
The fight took place on the school’s basketball court where Ernesto Carpio, 20; his cousin Michael Carpio, 20, and Richard Reyes, 19, had gathered, police said.
Ernesto Carpio hit Reyes in the head with a crowbar, and Reyes broke a window in Carpio’s car, police said. The fight apparently stemmed from a dispute last year, police said.
Reyes was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released, police said.
Ernesto Carpio was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, Michael Carpio with fighting in public and Reyes with vandalism, police said.
