Transparent Ballot Boxes Due in Mexico

MEXICO CITY — Transparent ballot boxes will be used in August congressional elections to help prevent fraud, officials said.
The boxes have been used in state elections as part of an effort by the government and ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, to improve credibility of elections that for years have been tainted by charges of fraud.
