Mark Tewksbury of Canada won the 100-meter backstroke at a World Cup meet at Malmo, Sweden. Tewksbury’s time of 52.90 seconds was .19 seconds off his world record of 52.71, which he set Saturday in Bonn, Germany.
Stanford is favored to win the NCAA Division I women’s swimming championships, which run today through Saturday at Indianapolis.
