Iran Forgives Draft Evaders

NICOSIA, Cyprus — Iran’s spiritual leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is scrapping all punishment for draft evaders in the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq War to mark Iran’s new year, which begins today, Tehran Radio said Wednesday.
