New Problem for Goleta Water District: The government of British Columbia has put one more roadblock in the path of the Goleta Water District, which is trying to bring water to the thirsty Santa Barbara County area by supertanker. The province’s environment minister announced that no licenses for bulk water exports from British Columbia will be issued untilat least July. The action could make it difficult for Goleta to contract quickly for tankered water.
