Soviet shooters Alexsander Blizniuchenko (653 points) and Sergei Pyzhyanov (652) won the gold and silver medals in the men’s free pistol portion of the World Cup USA at the Prado Tiro Ranges in Chino.
Marina Logyinenko of the Soviet Union won the women’s short pistol event with 687 points. The day’s best American finish was by Erich Buljung of Colorado Springs, Colo., who finished sixth behind Blizniuchenko.
