Schurr to Open Pacific Symphony Series

Diane Schurr, winner of the 1988 Grammy Award for Best Female Jazz Vocalist, is to open the Pacific Symphony’s seven-part 1991-92 Pops Series at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.
Schurr will sing on Nov. 14 and 15. “A Country and Christmas Concert” with Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers will be presented Dec. 20 and 21. Mandy Patinkin will sing Jan. 31 and Feb. 1; Melissa Manchester, March 13 and 14; Paul Anka, May 8 and 9; and Marvin Hamlisch, June 5 and 6. “Broadway Nights,” featuring headliners to be announced, will be offered April 17 and 18.
