California IN BRIEF : SOUTH LAKE TAHOE : 5 From L.A. Area Held in Drug Case

Five Los Angeles-area residents were jailed on drug charges after an undercover officer allegedly bought two kilograms of cocaine from them, police said. The arrests followed an investigation by officials of the Drug Enforcement Agency, South Lake Tahoe police and two other agencies. The five were being held in the El Dorado County jail in lieu of $150,000 bail each. They were identified as Hector Delcid, 25; Hilda Delcid, 45; Haroldo Gutierrez, 24; Ramirez Lopez, 31, and Javier Ascenio, 48.
