Square D Discussing Linkup: The Palatine, Ill., electrical equipment manufacturer, fighting a $1.98-billion takeover bid by Groupe Schneider S.A., said it is talking to other companies about possible joint ventures. However, Square D said it agreed to provide a list of shareholders to Schneider. The list will allow the French electrical equipment maker to communicate directly with Square D shareholders about the $78-a-share hostile tender offer.
