LAGUNA BEACH : Veterans Sought for Patriot’s Day Parade
The Laguna Beach Patriot’s Day Parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday and organizers are seeking military veterans interested in marching with the bands, floats and other participants.
The parade steps off at Laguna Beach High School and covers six blocks in the downtown area. Interested veterans can meet at the school, 625 Park Ave., between 9 and 10 a.m.
“We usually have 50 to 150 vets walking,†said Patrick J. Freeman, one of the veterans-unit organizers. “Anybody from the area, no matter their service, is welcome to join us.â€
The parade will honor Santa Ana Superior Court Judge David O. Carter for his service as a Marine Corps veteran.
