LONDON — Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy arrived in London on Monday to seek support for his government’s plans for dealing with the Arab-Israeli dispute now that the Gulf War is over.
Britain’s Foreign Office said Levy’s hastily planned trip was at Israel’s request.
Levy is scheduled to meet with Foreign Secretary Douglas Hurd today. His visit appeared aimed at gaining support for Israeli positions before an expected postwar diplomatic drive by the United States and Britain to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict.
