Two Thumbs Up for ‘GoodFellas’: Film critics Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert have finally agreed on something: Their choice for best picture of the year is Martin Scorsese’s “GoodFellas.” On “The Academy Awards Special: If We Picked The Winners,” which airs March 17 at 12:30 a.m. and March 23 at 7 p.m. on KABC Channel 7, the critics reveal this pick, along with other Oscar selections that reflect their preferences, rather than predictions, of this year’s winners. “ ‘GoodFellas’ was at the top of my list of the best films of 1990, and there is no reason to change now,” Siskel commented.
