War of Words: People for the American Way, a group that often has tangled with conservative religious organizations, Friday accused the American Family Assn. of “threatening to launch the mother of all boycotts†against the major movie studios and TV networks. It was a response to the Tupelo, Miss.-based AFA’s charge last week that there is “anti-Christian bigotry†in Hollywood’s product. The charge was issued last week in a letter signed by the Rev. Donald Wildmon and 800 religious leaders.
