Alhambra : Donations for Reservists

Alhambra residents may soon find a space on their water bills that will allow them to donate money to Alhambra reservists serving in the Persian Gulf. On Monday, the City Council approved in concept the idea first proposed by Councilman Michael A. Blanco earlier this month. Still to be worked out is the length of time the program will exist and who will run it.
Blanco suggested the water-bill donation plan after some reservists had to give up well-paying jobs when they were called up.
