In other Division 3-A boys’ games:
El Toro 4, Redlands 2--El Toro scored three goals--two by Iain Doleman--in the second half. Doleman’s first goal midway through the half tied the score, 2-2, and Mike Sweeney scored with 15 minutes remaining to give the Chargers (11-4-4) the lead. Marcos Torres scored in the first half for El Toro. Dan Jacobs had 10 saves for the Chargers.
South Torrance 2, Foothill 1--Kevin McCarthy scored with 14 minutes left to bring Foothill (12-5-7) within one.
In Division 1-A boys’ soccer:
Saddleback 2, Artesia 0--Victor Solis had three saves for his eighth shutout of the season at Saddleback. George Guerrero and Jose Esudero scored goals for Saddleback (16-2-5).
Corona del Mar 4, Norwalk 0--Danny Soucek, Tanner Rupp, Scott Owen and Jason Boyce each scored for host Corona del Mar (16-6-1).
Newport Harbor 1, Barstow 0--Todd Tift scored 25 minutes into the game for host Newport Harbor (15-5-8). Mike Hancock had three saves and Josh Klein had six saves for the Sailors.
In Division 2-A girls’ games:
Diamond Bar 2, Anaheim 1--Visiting Diamond Bar scored two goals in the first five minutes. April Garcia scored late in the second half for Anaheim, which finished the season 10-6-2.
Norco 3, Valencia 2--Valencia led, 2-0, at the half but host Norco (16-7-1) rallied for three goals in the second half. Jodie Coble scored with one minute left in regulation to break a 2-2 tie. Valencia, which lost in the first round last year to Norco 5-0, ends 13-11-5.
