Tommy Morrison, who portrayed boxer Tommy Gunn in the movie “Rocky V,” stopped former World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Pinklon Thomas after one round of a scheduled 10-round bout at Kansas City.
Morrison, 22 years old and 26-0 with 22 knockouts, bloodied the former champion’s right eye in the first round and the fight was stopped before Thomas, 33, could answer the bell for the second round.
Thomas is 30-6-1.
