Rollins, Corea Join Jazz Series

Tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins and Chick Corea’s Elektric Band will be included in a three-concert jazz series at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

The series begins May 5 with a performance by keyboardist Bobby Lyle and Brazilian singer Eliane Elias; continues Sept. 21 with headliner Rollins plus guitarist Mark Whitfield, and concludes Oct. 3 with Corea’s band, whose “Inside Out” album is nominated for a Grammy Award in the jazz fusion category.
