Eva Twardokens of Santa Cruz earned her second consecutive gold medal, overcoming near-blizzard conditions to win the women’s slalom at the U.S. Alpine Ski Championships at Crested Butte, Colo.
Twardokens’ combined time was 1:48.90, nearly a second ahead of Wendy Fisher’s 1:49.80.
