Cycle Accident Victim Identified

A Spring Valley man who was killed Friday afternoon in a motorcycle accident has been identified as Navy photographer Leroy Averitt.
The 39-year-old man had been riding uphill near California 905 and Otay Mesa Road when he fell from the bike, which landed on top of him. Averitt wore a helmet but no other protective gear. He lived in the 8700 block of Vista del Oro Way.
