Reward Posted in Blaze That Killed Firefighter

A $37,500 reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for setting a Jan. 9 fire in Huntington Park that resulted in the death of Los Angeles County Firefighter James Howe.
The county Board of Supervisors offered $25,000 and the remainder has come from private donations, including $5,000 from the Los Angeles County Firefighters Local 1014.
Howe, a 22-year veteran of the county Fire Department and father of two, was fatally injured when an overhanging roof facade collapsed on him as he scrambled across a second-floor balcony of a burning mini-mall.
