War IN BRIEF : KUWAIT : Life Grows Harder, Refugees Report

Refugees from Kuwait arriving at the Jordanian border said that phones, water and electricity still function in the occupied emirate. But they said life is becoming more difficult as food stocks shrink and allied bombs fall closer. One Jordanian refugee said food is available but very expensive. Some refugees, however, said many aspects of life were almost normal, even though most businesses and government offices are closed.
