Police were investigating Tuesday the shooting of a 21-year-old man, who was shot to death in his Southeast San Diego home when a bullet from a passing car entered through his bedroom window and struck him in the back of the head, police said.
Police found the body of Billy Joe Stewart II lying in the hallway of the house, in the 100 block of Las Flores Terrace, at about 6:45 p.m. Monday, Lt. Dan Berglund said.
Stewart was apparently walking out of the bedroom when several shots were fired at the home, Berglund said.
Stewart was a janitor and a father of one, a spokesman for the county medical examiner’s office said.
