Man Suspected in Fatal Shooting Surrenders
A Littlerock man suspected of fatally shooting another man during an argument at a Canoga Park apartment surrendered to police Thursday and was being held on suspicion of murder, Los Angeles police said.
Timothy Wayne Peoples, 31, walked into the Devonshire Station with his brother and mother about 3 p.m. and was held without bail, Officer Peggy Moseley said.
Police said Peoples is a suspect in the killing of Charles Hamilton, 24, who was shot Wednesday afternoon while visiting an apartment in the 8800 block of Independence Avenue. Witnesses told police that a dispute arose between Hamilton and a gunman who fired several shots, striking Hamilton at least once.
