THE GULF WAR: The Battle Front : Gas Masks for Expatriates
Bowing to pressure from angry Americans and their hometown Congress members, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh said it will offer GAS MASKS TO AMERICAN CITIZENS in Saudi Arabia. It said the masks, obtained from U.S. military stocks, would be handed out as long as the supply lasts. But U.S. diplomats made clear that they believe fears of a chemical attack on the Saudi capital are unfounded.
