Man, 24, Is Fatally Shot in Canoga Park
A 24-year-old man was fatally shot while visiting an apartment in Canoga Park Wednesday, Los Angeles police said.
Charles Hamilton, 24, was shot at least once in the upper portion of his body and was pronounced dead on arrival at Nu Med Medical Center, Lt. Harvie Eubank said. Witnesses told police that a dispute arose between Hamilton and another person visiting an apartment in the 8800 block of Independence Avenue about 4 p.m. The gunman fired several shots--striking Hamilton at least once--and fled.
Police did not know the nature of the dispute.
