Debating U.S. Involvement in Gulf Conflict
Regarding the “success†of our high-tech killing machines on the battlefield: Let’s not allow all the gung-ho reports from the front to erase our memory of decades of outrageous cost overruns and rampant corruption in the U.S. defense industry. I think the people who brought us the $500 hammer are overreaching a bit when they demand our awe and gratitude because it has been proven capable of pounding in a nail.
