Plenty of Places to Cast Votes
Despite projections of voter turnout as low as 15%, the Los Angeles County registrar-recorder will open a full complement of 371 polling places for Tuesday’s election for supervisor in the 1st District.
Sample ballots, which list polling places, have already been mailed by the registrar’s office. Those who did not receive sample ballots can call 727-1900 or 721-1100 to learn where to vote.
The polls in the district--which stretches from El Sereno and Lincoln Heights, east to Irwindale and La Puente and southeast to Santa Fe Springs--will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The public can obtain election results by calling 721-1100 after the polls close.
