Motorcyclist Crashes Into Truck, Is Killed
SANTA ANA — A 32-year-old Santa Ana motorcyclist was killed Friday night when he ran into the rear end of a truck that had stopped at a red light, police said.
The motorcyclist, whose identity was withheld pending notification of his family, was traveling north on Bristol Street at about 6:30 p.m. when the driver of a pickup truck in front of him stopped at a red light at Edinger Avenue, Police Lt. Chuck Magdalena said.
The motorcyclist failed to stop and “plowed right into the rear end of the truck,†Magdalena said.
The motorcyclist was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was pronounced dead.
