Just Didn’t Sound Right: A victim of the savings and loan crisis--on the language front, anyway--has decided it’s easier to switch than fight. S.N.L. Financial Corp. changed its name this week to Security National Financial Corp. to avoid confusion with the spoken shorthand for the industry known for multibillion-dollar losses and unscrupulous bankers. The company markets insurance and annuity products in 17 Western states, and owns and operates cemeteries and mortuaries in Utah and Arizona.
