Protests Against Gulf Actions

Ronald Soble’s report on the “enthusiastic crowd” at Fairfax High School (“1,500 Attend Teach-In Against Gulf Presence,” Part B, Dec. 17), has finally exposed the true motives for most of this so-called anti-war activity.
Although I suspect most of the crowd represented well-meaning, peace-loving people, unfortunately they’re merely being duped by the Arabists, pro-Palestinians, and pro-Saddam Hussein propagandists.
The article quotes Blase Bonpane, a spokesman for the event’s organizers: “People are wanting to hear the Palestinian position. Over the years, we’ve heard the Israelis’ position to a much higher degree.” And this event is claimed to be anti-war? Just how gullible does Bonpane believe Americans to be?
