Struck Out: Sports News Network has closed up shop, less than a year after it started. The financially ailing SNN, owned by Mizlou Communications Co., stopped broadcasting Monday at 3 p.m. The company said it would seek protection under federal bankruptcy laws. Last week, Mizlou reached a preliminary agreement to sell SNN to Landmark Communications Inc., which operates the Weather Channel.
