The homeowners, led by Laura Lake, who want to oppose the expansion of Fox Studios (Times, Dec. 6) need to recognize that rejection of the expansion would cost the city money and jobs. In time, that will force higher taxes on homes and/or the slow decay of Los Angeles as a prosperous city.
Ms. Lake’s political future would be brighter if her negative, self-protecting positions would change to positive alternatives to meet the pressing problems that will face the city as we move into the next century.
