Quayle and Mideast
Am I the only American who is more than a little upset that Vice President Dan Quayle is out in the hustings talking tough about the Iraqi situation?
Here is a man saber rattling and apparently willing to commit American lives to certain death if combat occurs, a man whose family’s influence kept him from a combat situation during the Vietnam War. Am I the only American who did not swallow Republican Party campaign rhetoric to the contrary?
Have we heard during this crisis that the President is consulting with the vice president for advice concerning the situation? All we are told is that the President is keeping the vice president informed. Would you want Quayle’s advice on this situation?
What is the definition of the word hypocrisy ? What is the definition of the word incompetence ?
I wish the President the best of health through the rest of his term.
