3 Agencies Honored for Aiding the Poor

BELLFLOWER — The City Council has honored Hosanna Chapel Lifeguard Food Ministry, St. Dominic Savio’s Christian Service Food Ministry and the St. Bernard Catholic Church Parish Pantry for their contributions to feed disadvantaged people.
Mayor Randy Bomgaars and the Bellflower City Council also are sponsoring a canned food drive to help fight hunger. Canned goods may be donated between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 20 at the Bellflower City Hall, 16600 Civic Center Drive. All canned foods will be donated to agencies in Bellflower that are assisting the disadvantaged and hungry. For more information regarding the holiday canned food drive, contact City Hall 804-1424.
