Whittaker Corp.: The Los Angeles-based aerospace and biotechnology concern posted fourth-quarter net income of $6 million and fiscal-year income of $86.7 million. Net income was off 38% for the quarter but up 170% for the year. Revenue for the quarter was $48.8 million, off 9% over the same quarter of 1989; for the year, revenue was $188.5 million, about the same as last year. The company said sharply declining interest expense shows that its recent recapitalization was a success and that it has a “solid base for earnings growth in the future.”
