Invitation for Simi Valley Musicians
I have recently learned that one of our area’s major cultural organizations--the Simi Valley Orchestra--is in “hiatus.”
It is always disheartening when a community loses its orchestra, even on a temporary basis. This is particularly true in today’s world where the arts are needed to help relieve the everyday stresses of life.
As an instructor at Moorpark College I would like to invite the musicians of Simi Valley and surrounding areas to continue sharing their talents during the hiatus through the Moorpark College Orchestra. Our orchestra has been in existence since the spring of 1989 and our repertoire includes light classical and romantic music.
