Fred Couples and Mike Donald produced birdies on the first eight holes of the back nine to score a 12-under-par 60 and move into a tie for the 36-hole lead in the Sazale Golf Classic in Wellington, Fla. Also at 19-under 125 in the best-ball team championship are Greg Bruckner-Kirk Triplett, Brian Claar-Bill Glasson and Stan Utley-Bob Wolcott. . . . Bob Charles of New Zealand shot a five-under-par 65 and took a one-stroke lead over Arnold Palmer in the first round of the Kaanapali Classic.
